Two Youths Killed in Separate Khulna Shootings Within Hours
Two young men were killed in separate shooting incidents in the Ashibigha area under Labanchora Police Station in Khulna on Wednesday. Law enforcement agencies are currently investigating the murders to determine if local terrorist groups were involved.

Two separate shooting incidents in the Ashibigha area of Labanchora Police Station in Khulna city left two youths dead within hours of each other on Wednesday. The violent events have created significant concern and anxiety throughout the local community as details of the coordinated attacks continue to emerge from law enforcement authorities.
The first victim, Manjurul Islam, aged 22, was attacked around 6:30 PM on Wednesday. According to the verified reports, Manjurul was both shot and stabbed during the violent encounter in the Ashibigha area. Following the assault, he was rushed for emergency medical attention but was subsequently declared dead at Khulna Medical College Hospital.
Just hours later in the exact same neighborhood, a second violent incident unfolded. Around 9:30 PM on the very same Wednesday, another young man named Nazmul, aged 18, was discovered dead. Authorities confirmed that Nazmul was found with a bullet-riddled body in the Ashibigha area of Labanchora Police Station.
Before his tragic death, Manjurul Islam worked as a mason's assistant alongside his father, Khokon Sana. Meanwhile, Nazmul was identified as the son of Monir Sheikh. Mourning his son's brutal killing, Monir Sheikh expressed his grief and demanded accountability, stating that his son merely hung around with friends and was shot to death as a result, adding, "I want justice for this incident."
The Khulna Metropolitan Police, led by statements from Syed Mosharraf Hossain and Md. Shafiqul Islam, have launched an active investigation into the two fatalities. Police noted that information exists regarding the ongoing activities and rivalry between two local terrorist factions known as the Saifi Group and the Raju Group in the Ashibigha area.
Investigators are currently verifying whether either of these terrorist groups had any direct involvement in the murder of Manjurul Islam and are examining potential links between the two separate killings. As part of their ongoing inquiries, law enforcement officers have successfully located and contacted a friend who was with Manjurul at the time of the attack, and authorities are attempting to gather detailed accounts of the incident from him.
