An incident of physical confrontation unfolded in the capital when two private car drivers engaged in a public fight over personal matters. The altercation took place directly in front of the prominent Chhayanaut building, located in the Dhanmondi area of Dhaka, drawing attention from people in the vicinity.

Law enforcement authorities intervened to bring the situation under control. Personnel from the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), specifically operating within the jurisdiction of the Traffic-Dhanmondi Zone and the local Dhanmondi police station, responded to the scene of the disturbance.

Following the street-level clash, law enforcement officers apprehended two individuals involved in the dispute. The detained private car drivers have been identified as Zahir and Md. Saiful, according to the official police reports detailing the August 31, 2026 incident.

In addition to taking the two drivers into custody, law enforcement officials confiscated the official paperwork belonging to their vehicles. The seizure of the car documents was carried out as part of the immediate administrative and legal response to the public disturbance in the busy neighborhood.

Subsequent to their detention at the location, both Zahir and Md. Saiful were formally transferred into the custody of the Dhanmondi police station. Authorities are continuing their processing of the case involving the two individuals alongside another mentioned party, Md. Aktar Hossain, within the established legal framework of the local police precinct.
