Joint Police and RAB Raid in Dhaka's Bhashantek Yields No Weapons

Security forces in Dhaka, Bangladesh, carried out a joint security operation on Saturday following an unverified report concerning illegal weapons. The joint raid took place at a residential building located in the Mirpur Bhashantek area.

Specifically, the operation targeted the Baganbari locality at house number 160/B. The eight-story building became the focus of a heavily coordinated search effort involving local law enforcement and elite security personnel.

The operation specifically focused on flat E/3, situated on the fourth floor of the residential building. According to verified details, the apartment belongs to Ohidul Haque, a former law enforcement member.

The joint intervention involved personnel from RAB-4 and the Bhashantek police station. The deployment included approximately 18 to 20 members of RAB-4 alongside 15 to 16 police officers, who secured the premises during the operation.

The search commenced at approximately 3:49 PM on Saturday afternoon and lasted for nearly one hour and 40 minutes, concluding at around 5:30 PM. During this extensive period, the security personnel meticulously inspected the targeted fourth-floor flat.

Ultimately, the security forces found no suspicious items or illegal weapons inside the apartment. Authorities confirmed that no individuals were detained during the course of the operation. Aslam Hossain, who participated in the operation, stated, 'I went to that house with senior officers. We did not find anything there. No one was detained either. I do not know anything more about this matter.'
