Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan visited the National Martyrs' Monument in Savar, Dhaka, to pay his profound respects to the heroic martyrs of the nation. The official event and subsequent interaction with journalists took place on Saturday, August 22, drawing significant attention to the ongoing political developments within the country.

Addressing reporters at the historic monument site, the minister offered extensive remarks regarding the current administration and the political journey leading up to the present day. Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan stated, 'Bangladesh is at a critical juncture in its history, and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has taken the helm of this country, doing so through the votes of the people.'

Elaborating on the historical context and the struggles faced by the nation over the past two decades, the minister emphasized the democratic transition currently underway. Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan noted, 'Following a long 17 years of autocracy, he has dedicated himself to moving Bangladesh forward along the path of democracy and establishing the rights of the people of Bangladesh.'

The minister also touched upon the administrative structure and the formation of the government, addressing the timeline of executive appointments. Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan remarked, 'The cabinet that the Prime Minister formed six months ago is a normal process observed all over the world.'

Looking ahead toward the future of the nation, the senior official outlined the collective vision for national reconstruction under the current leadership. Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan concluded, 'Today, coming to the year 2026, we will once again rebuild this country anew under the leadership of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman through the votes of the people.'
