The high-ranking international official, who initially arrived in Dhaka on August 30, left the country on Wednesday after completing a comprehensive schedule of official engagements and institutional visits.

His departure from the country took place at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka. At the airport, senior officials including an additional secretary from the Bangladesh Parliament Secretariat along with other relevant government and parliamentary officials were present to see him off as he prepared to leave.

Throughout his time in the country, the IPU chief engaged in a series of crucial diplomatic and political discussions. Confirmed itineraries show that he held formal meetings with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad, and opposition leader Shafiqur Rahman to discuss matters of parliamentary cooperation and democratic governance.

In addition to his meetings with principal national leaders, the Secretary General also participated in focused interactive sessions. He met with State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaid, where they engaged in discussions alongside various female members of parliament and lawmakers who have experienced political persecution.

As part of his itinerary focusing on the nation's legislative infrastructure and recent historical milestones, the IPU official undertook important site visits. He personally toured the National Parliament Building and also visited the July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum to observe historical records and exhibits.
