The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh has successfully concluded a rigorous 60-day special training program for 15 firefighters. The closing ceremony and certificate distribution took place on September 3, 2026, at the Civil Aviation Academy in Dhaka.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has officially concluded a specialized 60-day training program designed for 15 dedicated firefighters. The comprehensive professional development course, which aimed to enhance emergency response capabilities within the aviation sector, began on June 10 and successfully concluded on September 1, 2026.
Following the completion of the rigorous coursework, an official closing and certificate distribution ceremony was held on September 2, 2026, at the prestigious Civil Aviation Academy located in Dhaka. The event brought together key officials and trainees to mark the milestone achievement for the country's aviation safety personnel.
Addressing the gathering during the certificate distribution program, Prashanta Kumar Chakraborty emphasized the critical importance of translating the newly acquired skills into practical safety measures across the nation's aviation hubs. He stated that the true success of this specialized training—aimed at ensuring overall flight safety and effectively managing potential accidents—will only be assured when necessary fire protection systems are fully implemented across all airports in the country.
Echoing similar sentiments regarding international compliance and operational readiness, Md. Rafiqul Islam highlighted the strategic role that the newly trained personnel are expected to play. He noted that the trainees will lead the way in operating airports in accordance with the stringent standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and in executing airport emergency management plans effectively.
The successful completion of this 60-day program marks a significant step forward for the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh as it continues to elevate its operational safety standards. With the newly certified firefighters equipped with advanced knowledge, the aviation sector is better prepared to maintain high safety protocols and handle critical emergency situations at facilities including the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
