Teenager Gang-Raped in Comilla's Lalmai Hills, One Arrested

A 15-year-old girl has been allegedly gang-raped in the Lalmai hills located in the Sadar Dakshin upazila of Comilla district, according to verified local reports. The incident has drawn significant attention from law enforcement agencies operating within the region, prompting an immediate official response to bring the perpetrators to justice.

Following the incident, the victim's father filed a formal legal case accusing a total of five individuals of involvement in the gang rape. Among the named suspects in the newly registered case are the primary accused Siyam, along with Rokibul Islam and Shahid Mia, as confirmed by the investigative authorities handling the matter.

In the wake of the filing of the case, local law enforcement units launched operations to apprehend those responsible for the crime. Police successfully arrested a 22-year-old young man named Sakib in connection with the horrific assault, marking the first major arrest in the ongoing investigation into the incident.

Following the brutal attack, the 15-year-old survivor was immediately transferred to the Comilla Medical College Hospital. She is currently receiving specialized medical treatment and healthcare services at the hospital's dedicated One-Stop Crisis Centre (OCC), where medical professionals are monitoring her condition.

Local authorities, including the Sadar Dakshin Model Police Station and the Cantonment Police Outpost, are continuing their intensive efforts regarding the case. Investigators are actively working to capture the remaining suspects who were named in the FIR filed by the victim's father as the legal proceedings move forward.
