Sex Worker Dies After Assault by Alleged Lover in Bangladesh Brothel

A female sex worker has tragically lost her life after sustaining severe injuries from a physical assault allegedly perpetrated by her partner in the Daulatdia red-light district, located in the Rajbari district of Bangladesh. The violent confrontation left the victim in critical condition, prompting immediate medical intervention as she was transferred for specialized treatment following the initial altercation at the notorious sex village.

Following the severe beating in the Daulatdia brothel, the injured woman was rushed through various medical facilities for urgent care. Initially, she was received at the Goalundo Upazila Health Complex before being transferred to the Faridpur Medical College Hospital as her medical condition deteriorated rapidly due to the severity of the injuries inflicted upon her during the assault.

In a desperate bid to save her life, the victim was eventually moved to a private hospital in the capital city of Dhaka for advanced medical management. Despite the ongoing efforts of the attending medical professionals at the private facility, she succumbed to her critical injuries on Monday morning while undergoing treatment.

Local law enforcement agencies have initiated a rigorous criminal investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal assault within the Daulatdia red-light area. Officers from the Goalundo Ghat Police Station acted swiftly upon receiving reports of the violence and the subsequent death of the victim at the private hospital in Dhaka.

As part of their ongoing legal proceedings, the local police successfully apprehended a suspect in connection with the homicide. The detained individual has been identified as Mo. Jewel, who is currently in custody as investigators continue their work regarding the violent episode that transpired in the Rajbari district.
