Authorities within the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have officially reversed a recently issued transfer order concerning the leadership at the Sabujbagh Police Station in the capital. The administrative decision, which originally moved the station's officer-in-charge to a new department, was rescinded mere hours after it was initially promulgated across the force.

As a result of the rapid reversal of the departmental directives, the incumbent officer-in-charge of Sabujbagh Police Station, Mohammad Saiful Islam, will continue to serve in his previous capacity without interruption. The official confirmation regarding both the initial movement and the subsequent cancellation was detailed in separate office orders issued by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police.

The administrative documents governing the sequence of events bore the official signature of DMP Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters and Administration) Shahriar Ali. These headquarters notifications outlined the specifics of the police postings within the metropolitan area, detailing the intended shift and the swift corrective action that followed.

Under the terms of the first office order that was subsequently cancelled, Mohammad Saiful Islam had been slated for a reassignment away from the Sabujbagh station. That initial directive ordered his transfer out of the local precinct and into the DMP Crime Division, marking a notable change in the metropolitan command structure.

Simultaneously, the first directive had arranged for a replacement to step into the vacant role at the local precinct, assigning another official, Mohammad Saiful Islam, to take over the station. However, because the overarching transfer order was nullified within a matter of hours, the planned succession did not take effect, leaving the original officer firmly stationed in his post.
