Mohammad Abdul Muhit Appointed Bangladesh High Commissioner to London

In a significant diplomatic assignment, Mohammad Abdul Muhit has been officially appointed as the new High Commissioner of Bangladesh to London. According to the official details confirmed by the authorities, his appointment comes with specific terms. Mohammad Abdul Muhit has been appointed to this prestigious diplomatic post on a two-year contract, holding the distinguished status of Grade-1. To facilitate this new role in London, his remaining term as the Rector of the Foreign Service Academy has been officially cancelled.

The administrative changes were formally put into effect through an official notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration. The notification concerning Mohammad Abdul Muhit's new diplomatic responsibility was officially published and released on the 24th of August, establishing the timeline for his transition into the London High Commission.

Alongside the high-profile appointment in London, the government also executed additional administrative reassignments and contract appointments on the same day. Mohammad Mujibur Rahman was appointed on a one-year contractual basis to serve as a member of the National Skill Development Authority (NSDA).

Further adjustments within the bureaucratic apparatus involved senior economic administration. Md. Ahsan Kibria Siddiqui, who previously served as the Additional Secretary of the Economic Relations Division (ERD), has been transferred and attached to the Ministry of Public Administration as part of these coordinated administrative updates.
