New District Commissioners Appointed in Natore, Gaibandha and Rangpur

The government of Bangladesh has officially appointed new District Commissioners (DCs) for three important administrative regions across the country, namely Natore, Gaibandha, and Rangpur. These administrative updates are part of ongoing official reassignments designed to manage regional governance and oversee public administration duties within the specified districts.

According to the official details released from the administration, Moosa. Sumaiya Aktar, who previously served as the Deputy Secretary of the Posts and Telecommunications Division, has been assigned as the new District Commissioner of Natore. Her appointment places her at the helm of the Natore district administration, where she will direct local governmental affairs.

Meanwhile, Dr. Md. Moniruzzaman has taken up the responsibility as the new District Commissioner of Gaibandha. Prior to this new leadership role, Dr. Moniruzzaman served in a key administrative capacity as the Private Secretary to the Minister of the Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operative Ministry.

In the Rangpur district, the government has designated Nik Irfan Jahan as the new District Commissioner. Nik Irfan Jahan brings prior governmental experience from the central administration, having previously served in the capacity of Deputy Secretary for the Food Ministry before taking on this regional leadership assignment.

The official directives regarding these administrative appointments were formally issued on August 19. The Field Administration-2 Branch of the Ministry of Public Administration published the necessary statutory notification to implement these changes across Natore, Gaibandha, and Rangpur.
