The administration of the Islamic University, located in Kushtia, has officially dismissed two of its faculty members following prolonged and unauthorized absences from their respective workplaces. The disciplinary action was confirmed and announced on the eighth of September, marking a significant administrative step by the university authorities to address faculty attendance and maintain academic continuity within its departments.

According to the official university details, the individuals who have been removed from their positions are Ashrafunnahar Hena, who served as an associate professor in the Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) department, and Sajib Kumar Ghosh, who held the position of assistant professor in the English department. Both educators had remained away from their designated workplaces for extended periods, prompting the university to take formal action.

University officials stated that the prolonged absence of these two teachers created critical operational and academic voids within their respective departments, necessitating a definitive administrative response. The decision to terminate their employment was finalized and enacted on the eighth of September at the Islamic University campus in Kushtia, following established institutional protocols regarding extended and unapproved absences.

In the wake of these dismissals, the university administration has moved swiftly to ensure that the educational programs and departmental functions are not disrupted. Consequently, official notices have already been published inviting applications for new faculty members to fill the two newly vacant positions in both the Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) department and the English department.

These newly issued recruitment circulars aim to attract qualified candidates to permanently replace the dismissed educators and restore full teaching capacity to the affected departments. The Islamic University authorities remain focused on maintaining institutional discipline and ensuring that students in the EEE and English departments receive uninterrupted instruction moving forward.
