The Islamic University (IU) branch of Chhatra Shibir organized a protest rally and subsequent assembly on campus to mark International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances on Sunday, August 30.

During the demonstration, the student organization highlighted the ongoing disappearance of two of its local leaders, Waliullah and Al-Muqaddas. According to the verified facts of the case, both Waliullah and Al-Muqaddas have been missing since the year 2012 under circumstances tied to the organization's history at the institution.

The protest activities commenced at the university's Bottola area, serving as the starting point for the procession. Participants marched through designated campus paths to draw attention to the unresolved 2012 disappearance cases involving their fellow members.

The demonstration ultimately concluded near the main gate of the Islamic University campus. There, members of the branch gathered to hold a formal assembly following the completion of the campus-wide march.

International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances serves as the global backdrop for this mobilization by the Islamic University branch of Chhatra Shibir. The event specifically spotlighted the long-standing absence of leaders Waliullah and Al-Muqaddas, whose whereabouts have remained unaccounted for since 2012.
