Home Minister to Visit Sylhet on September 1 for First Official Tour

Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed is scheduled to undertake a one-day official visit to Sylhet on Tuesday, September 1. This upcoming journey marks his very first official tour to the region since officially assuming responsibilities as the head of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The day-long itinerary in Sylhet features a high-profile inaugural ceremony for a specialized military and security training facility. Specifically, the Home Minister will officially open the Border School of Surveillance and Drone Warfare, known by its abbreviation SSSDWD.

Preparations for the high-level official visit are currently underway, involving various administrative departments and security sectors. The visit highlights the government's ongoing focus on enhancing border management capabilities and advancing tactical training infrastructure.
