Hanging Body of Youth Recovered in Sunamganj

In an incident that has drawn local attention, the hanging body of a young man named Emran Hossain was recovered from the veranda of his own house. The grim discovery was made in Berajali village, located within the Gourarang union of Sunamganj Sadar upazila.

According to the verified reports, the body was found hanging by a rope tied to a bamboo beam on the residential property. Law enforcement personnel from the Sadar Model Police Station responded to the situation and arrived promptly at the scene to manage the unfolding case.

Following their arrival, the police officially recovered the deceased body from the location in Berajali village. The remains were subsequently dispatched to the morgue at the Sunamganj District Sadar Hospital to undergo a comprehensive post-mortem examination.

Authorities conducting the initial investigation confirmed a significant physical discovery at the scene. A handwritten note, or chirkut, was recovered directly from the shirt pocket of the deceased youth, Emran Hossain, and is currently part of the ongoing police inquiry.

Sub-Inspector Ratan Sheikh, speaking from the scene regarding the unfolding developments, stated that he is currently present at the location and is thoroughly examining the matter. However, the police official noted that nothing immediate can be stated concerning the content of the recovered letter at this early stage.

Meanwhile, the father of the deceased, Abdul Hasim, has raised serious grievances concerning the events leading up to his son's death. Expressing his grief and demanding justice, Abdul Hasim stated that Emran was his beloved son and alleged that a false accusation of theft had been leveled against him, adding that their entire family was insulted during a village arbitration led by the chairman, which he claims drove his son to his death.
