GMHSDS National Debate Festival 2026 Opens in Chattogram
The fourth edition of the GMHSDS National Debate Festival has officially opened at Government Muslim High School. The event features competitive debates among dozens of school and college teams from across the region.
The Government Muslim High School premises in Chattogram served as the vibrant venue for the grand opening ceremony of the Fourth GMHSDS National Debate Festival 2026. Held on August 21, 2026, this prominent educational gathering brought together enthusiastic students, distinguished guests, and debate aficionados to celebrate the power of critical thinking and eloquence.
Organized to foster intellectual discourse among the youth, the festival features robust competitions across two major categories. According to the event details, the ongoing festival hosts an intense inter-school debate competition comprising twenty-four school teams, alongside an equally competitive inter-college segment featuring twenty college teams.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by notable dignitaries, including Dr. Imran Bin Yunus, former principal of Chattogram Medical College, who attended the event as the chief guest. Other key individuals associated with the broader proceedings and institutional framework include Morsheduzzaman, Lion Mohammad Ali, Saifuddin Munna, Enayet Hossain, Mohammad Jalal Uddin, Ihtesamul Haque Tajwar, and Sadman Sarar, representing institutions such as Government Muslim High School, the Government Muslim High School Alumni Association, the Bangladesh Debate Federation, and the Government Muslim High School Debate Club.
