Eid-e-Miladunnabi Celebrations: Rallies and Peace Assembly Planned
Chattogram and Dhaka are preparing for major processions and gatherings to mark the holy occasion of Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH) on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. Authorities have implemented strict security measures, including a ban on the carrying or display of all types of weapons during the events.
Preparations are well underway for the observance of the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (PBUH) through a series of grand processions and gatherings scheduled to take place on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, across the metropolitan cities of Chattogram and Dhaka.
In connection with these upcoming events in Chattogram, the Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) has issued a formal public notification signed by CMP Commissioner Hasan Md. Shawkat Ali. The directive explicitly states that all forms of weapon carrying, exhibition, and usage are strictly prohibited throughout the duration of the rallies and religious assemblies.
The scheduled processions in the port city of Chattogram are set to commence at 8:00 AM. Participants will gather and start the religious rally from the Alamgir Khanqah-e-Qaderia Syedia Taiyebia located in the Sholashahar area.
Meanwhile, the capital city of Dhaka will host its own distinct sequence of commemorative events on the same day. According to the scheduled itinerary for Dhaka, a Jashne Julus procession will begin at 10:00 AM.
Following the procession in Dhaka, an international peace grand assembly will be held at the Suhrawardy Udyan. This major gathering is scheduled to take place from 11:30 AM until 1:30 PM, drawing participants together for the holy occasion.
