Chittagong Red Crescent Unit Forms Election Commission for Polls
The executive committee of the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, Chittagong District Unit, has formed a four-member election commission. This commission was established during a meeting held on August 18, 2026, to ensure a fair and acceptable upcoming election.

To guarantee that the forthcoming polls are conducted in a completely impartial, transparent, and credible manner, the executive committee formally established a specialized four-member election commission. Significantly, the newly formed election commission will be led by Khandakar Md. Ikhtiyar Uddin Arafat. He currently serves in an official capacity as the Chief Executive Officer of the Chittagong District Council.
