BRAC University Honors 17 Researchers for Quality Journal Publications

BRAC University has officially honored 17 of its distinguished teachers and researchers with the prestigious 'Quality Journal Publication Award 2026'. The special recognition event was successfully hosted on August 25, 2026, at the permanent campus of BRAC University located in Merul Badda, Dhaka.

This year's awards specifically celebrated a substantial body of academic work, bringing a total of 228 research papers published in Q1-ranked journals under the purview of the recognition program. According to the institutional data highlighted during the event, the volume of these impactful research papers has experienced a notable surge, increasing by approximately 57 percent.

A closer look at the honored publications reveals significant global academic reach and rigorous peer review standards. Out of the total recognized output, 124 research papers were published in journals that rank within the top 10 percent globally in their respective academic fields. Additionally, the remaining 104 papers were successfully published across other leading journals categorized strictly within the Q1 class.

The broader national research landscape also provides a compelling backdrop to these institutional achievements. Records show that Bangladesh as a whole contributed a total of 21,919 research publications in the year 2025 alone. Within this national aggregate, researchers and academics affiliated with BRAC University accounted for approximately 4.1 percent of the total research publications.

The award ceremony at the Merul Badda campus brought together prominent academic leaders, institutional figures, and researchers to celebrate these milestones.
