Bishwo Shahitto Kendro and bKash celebrate 12 years of reading programme

On September 4 in Dhaka, Bishwo Shahitto Kendro and bKash jointly celebrated the 12th anniversary of their book-reading programme with a special friendship conference. The event marked over a decade of partnership dedicated to promoting literature among students, bringing together prominent educational figures, corporate leaders, and institutional organizers to reflect on the long-running initiative.
Dr. A. N. M. Ehsanul Hoque Milan, the Minister of Education and of Primary and Mass Education, attended the commemorative gathering as the chief guest and delivered a prominent address. During his speech, the minister underscored the vital importance of literature in shaping the moral and intellectual framework of young minds, noting that books have no alternative when it comes to guiding future generations onto the right path.
Expanding on his remarks regarding the nation's youth, Dr. A. N. M. Ehsanul Hoque Milan stressed the necessity of actively encouraging students to engage with books. He stated that the future generation of today will lead the country in the days to come, making it imperative to develop them as competent citizens through proper intellectual cultivation and widespread reading habits.

Asaduzzaman, the Executive Director of Bishwo Shahitto Kendro, took the stage to discuss the ongoing impact of the collaborative reading programme across the country. Additionally, Kamal Quadir, the Chief Executive Officer of bKash, addressed the gathering to highlight the corporate partnership's commitment to supporting educational initiatives over the past twelve years.
