Bangladesh MPO Committee Revises Pay Orders and Promotes Teachers

In a significant administrative decision regarding the education sector in Bangladesh, the Monthly Pay Order (MPO) committee has officially revised the financial benefits for a total of 1,354 teachers and staff working across private schools and colleges throughout the country. This comprehensive overhaul of the pay orders was formally decided during an official meeting held by the committee, marking a notable development for educators and institutional staff awaiting administrative adjustments.

The comprehensive revision process covers a broad spectrum of educational workers currently employed in the private academic sector. Specifically, the newly approved changes apply to 1,191 teachers and staff members working at the school level, alongside an additional 163 teachers and staff members serving within college-level institutions across the nation.

In addition to the MPO revisions for the thousands of educational workers, the committee also addressed career advancement for educators in higher secondary institutions. During the very same session, a decision was finalized to grant official promotions to 295 teachers at the college level, providing them with upgraded professional standing and recognition within their respective institutions.

The crucial decisions regarding both the pay order revisions and the educator promotions were officially finalized during an official meeting of the MPO committee held on September 3, 2026. This gathering brought together key officials to evaluate pending administrative files and address long-standing requests from educators across the country.
