The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has officially issued a comprehensive weather update and a countrywide rain forecast indicating that rain or thunder showers are expected at various places across all eight divisions of Bangladesh over the coming two days. This meteorological development comes as the weather across the nation experiences significant shifts driven by regional atmospheric systems, bringing potential relief to various regions currently observing fluctuating temperature levels.
According to the detailed weather update provided by the storm warning center of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, a low-pressure area that was previously situated over the northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal areas of West Bengal and northern Odisha has intensified. The system has now concentrated and currently remains stationed over the exact same area in the form of a well-marked low-pressure system, influencing weather patterns significantly.
In terms of recent precipitation data recorded across the country over the past 24 hours, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department confirmed that the highest amount of rainfall was registered in Teknaf, where a significant measurement of 68 millimeters of rainfall was recorded. This heavy downpour in the southern region highlights the localized intensity of the current monsoon-related weather dynamics affecting the coastal and inland districts.
Regarding temperature recordings and atmospheric conditions across different parts of the country, the meteorological data shows varied readings. Khulna's Rajarhat recorded the highest temperature in the country at 36.5 degrees Celsius, while Teknaf recorded the lowest temperature at 24.6 degrees Celsius. Meanwhile, the capital city of Dhaka experienced a maximum temperature of 34.8 degrees Celsius and a minimum temperature of 26.9 degrees Celsius, with the overall temperature in Dhaka resting at 30.4 degrees Celsius.
Additionally, the environmental readings for the capital city indicate specific atmospheric conditions during this weather transition. The air humidity level in Dhaka was recorded at 70 percent, accompanied by a wind speed ranging between 10 to 15 kilometers per hour blowing from various directions, providing a comprehensive overview of the current meteorological state across the nation as reported by the department.
