Bangladesh Forms 3-Member Cabinet Committee to Assist Agriculture Ministry
Bangladesh has established a three-member cabinet committee to advise and assist the Ministry of Agriculture. The committee will oversee activities related to fertilizer extraction, distribution, and the appointment of fertilizer dealers.

The government of Bangladesh has officially formed a dedicated three-member cabinet committee to provide crucial consultation and assistance to the Ministry of Agriculture. This specialized administrative body has been mandated to support the ministry specifically in operational areas concerning fertilizer extraction, fertilizer distribution, and the official appointment of fertilizer dealers across the country.
The formal establishment of this three-member cabinet committee was confirmed through an official notification issued by the committee affairs branch of the Cabinet Division. According to the administrative announcement, the directive and the formation of the new oversight committee both took effect officially on Tuesday, August 25, 2026.
Alongside the primary leadership structure of the committee, specific appointments for the remaining positions within the newly formed body have also been detailed. The other two esteemed members designated to serve on this crucial cabinet committee are Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu and State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives Mir Shahe Alam.
To ensure smooth operations and proper administrative execution of its mandates, the Ministry of Agriculture has been officially designated to provide all necessary secretarial support to the newly formed cabinet committee. This institutional backing will facilitate the committee's ongoing efforts to streamline fertilizer management processes and dealer appointments nationwide under the current governmental framework.
