Bangladesh has taken a significant step toward modernizing its public administration as the Local Government Division initiates the rollout of a contemporary digital attendance system. This administrative upgrade is designed to cover all municipalities and various other local government institutions operating throughout the country, ensuring enhanced operational oversight and administrative transparency within these vital public sector bodies.

According to the official framework established for this nationwide technological transition, the newly introduced digital attendance system incorporates several sophisticated identification technologies. Specifically, the system relies on advanced face recognition capabilities alongside biometric fingerprint scanning to accurately and securely record the daily attendance of personnel working within the targeted local government institutions.
