Zia Foundation Distributes Food and Holds Prayer Mahfil in Jhenaidah
The Zia Foundation distributed food items to over two hundred helpless individuals following a special prayer mahfil in Jhenaidah. During the event, a senior official announced a substantial financial donation for the local mosque's development.

On Friday, August 21, 2026, the Zia Foundation organized a significant humanitarian and religious event at the Pobhati Pukurpar Jame Mosque premises, located within the Jhenaidah municipal town. The gathering took place immediately following the Jummah prayers, drawing numerous local residents and community leaders to the mosque area.
As part of the day's program, a special prayer mahfil was conducted at the venue. The religious gathering was held specifically to seek eternal peace for the departed soul of late President Ziaur Rahman, bringing together participants in collective remembrance and prayer.
Following the prayer session, the foundation carried out its core charitable mission for the day. Organizers distributed essential food items to over two hundred helpless and destitute people from the surrounding area, offering much-needed support to vulnerable members of the community.
A major highlight of the event was an official announcement regarding local infrastructure support. District Council Administrator and District BNP President Advocate MA Abdul Majid publicly declared a donation of two lakh taka dedicated entirely to the development and improvement of the local mosque.
Addressing the gathering during the program, Advocate MA Abdul Majid emphasized the underlying philosophy guiding their philanthropic efforts. He stated that being inspired by the ideals of late President Ziaur Rahman makes standing beside general and working-class people a core political and social responsibility, while also praising the General Zia Foundation's initiative for bringing modest smiles to the faces of helpless individuals in society.
The event was attended by numerous notable figures representing various local organizations and political bodies. Among those present were Kamruzzaman Liton, Mahabubur Rahman Sekhor, Maulana Kamal Uddin, Mostak Ahmmed, Advocate Monirul Islam Milton, Asaduzzaman Dulal, and Badsha Bulbul, alongside representatives and members from organizations including General Zia Foundation, District Council, District BNP, Municipal BNP, District Zia Parishad, District Jubo Dal, Municipal Krishak Dal, and the Municipal 1 Number Ward BNP.
