Shop Attacked in Dhaka Land Dispute: One Armed Man Detained

A violent confrontation stemming from an ongoing land dispute erupted in the capital city, resulting in gunfire inside a commercial establishment. The incident took place in the Shoni Akhra Nurpur area, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Kadamtali police station in Dhaka, creating panic among local residents and business owners alike.

According to official information, the armed attack targeted a business establishment identified as Messrs. Lucky Crockeries, owned by Aslam Khan. The confrontation escalated significantly when an armed individual entered the premises and opened fire, directly threatening the safety and security of those present in the area during the volatile incident.

Alerted by the sudden and alarming sound of gunfire, local residents of the Shoni Akhra neighborhood acted swiftly to confront the situation. Through collective effort, the members of the public managed to overpower and detain one suspect who was armed at the scene of the crime.

The authorities were immediately notified of the unfolding emergency situation late Saturday night. Anwar Sattar reported that a concerned citizen contacted the national emergency service via the 999 hotline to state that heavy gunfire had just occurred in their neighborhood, urgently requesting prompt intervention from law enforcement officers.

In response to the emergency call, personnel from the Kadamtali Police Station rushed to the location to secure the area and take control of the situation. Upon arrival, the police officers took custody of the detained suspect from the local residents who had successfully held him.

During the subsequent investigation and search operations conducted at the scene of the shooting, law enforcement officials recovered a significant cache of weaponry and ammunition. The seized items included one pistol, one revolver, nine rounds of live ammunition, and three spent shell casings from the fired rounds.
