Senior Assistant Secretary Mohammad Moniruzzaman has been officially dismissed from his government position following charges of remaining absent from his designated workplace. The decision to terminate his employment was enacted by the relevant authorities in response to his extended failure to report for official duties, marking a significant disciplinary measure within the civil administration.

According to the official records, the dismissal was formally finalized and announced through a gazette notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration. The administrative order was published on August 25, 2026, detailing the punitive measures taken against the senior official in accordance with government service regulations and procedures.

The investigation and subsequent dismissal stem from a prolonged period during which the official was found to be away from his post. Specifically, the Ministry of Public Administration confirmed that Mohammad Moniruzzaman had been absent from his workplace continuously starting from November 1, 2024, without proper authorization or leave.

This prolonged absence violated the standard service rules and discipline expected of personnel holding senior administrative positions within the government structure. Consequently, the Ministry of Public Administration proceeded with the issuance of the August 25, 2026 notification to execute the termination of his employment status.
