The tragic incident took place in the Machuyapara area of Rangpur city, where retired teacher Ganapati Chakraborty, his wife Pritilata Chakraborty, their daughter Agami Chakraborty, and their son Ayush Chakraborty were killed.
Police recovered the lifeless bodies of all four family members from the residence at night on August 22, 2024. Following the grim discovery, law enforcement authorities launched an investigation into the murders, which sent shockwaves through the local community in Rangpur and drew widespread attention.
In the wake of the killings, two individuals identified as Siddhartha Das and Mugdha Das were apprehended by authorities. The arrests of Siddhartha and Mugdha were officially executed in the early hours of August 23, 2024, as the investigation into the multiple homicide case progressed.
