A police-magistracy conference took place in Dhaka on 12 September, bringing together key judicial and law enforcement figures. The important meeting was hosted inside the conference room of the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court in the capital.

The conference proceedings were presided over by the acting Chief Judicial Magistrate, Mo. Mahbubur Rahman. His leadership guided the discussions held among the various legal and administrative stakeholders present at the venue.

Adding significant weight to the event, Dhaka Senior District and Sessions Judge Mo. Rafiqul Islam graced the conference as the chief guest. His presence underscored the institutional importance of coordination between the judiciary and law enforcement agencies.

The gathering provided a platform for officials to address pressing legal matters concerning the jurisdiction of Dhaka. Among the various participants and organizations associated with the wider legal framework in the region were representatives from CID, Dhaka Medical College Hospital, Enam Medical College Hospital, Dhaka Bar Association, and PBI, alongside individuals such as Mahfuzur Rahman, Mo. Tajul Islam Sohag, and Shamima Parvin.

Discussions during the conference also touched upon specific legal cases currently proceeding through the judicial system. Notably, four cases related to the anti-discrimination movement have arrived at the Dhaka District Judge Court for trial.
