PMO Holds Press Briefing to Mark Government's 180 Days in Office

The Prime Minister's Office hosted an official press briefing in Tejgaon, Dhaka, to mark the completion of the government's 180 days in office. The event brought together government officials and members of the press to review administrative actions and economic management during the initial period of governance.

During the briefing, official Mahdi Amin addressed reporters regarding various domestic and international economic challenges managed by the administration. Discussing global energy pressures, Amin stated that despite the ongoing war in the Middle East causing oil prices to rise in various countries around the world, the government refrained from increasing fuel prices for a long period while instead maintaining uninterrupted energy supplies.

Amin also addressed efforts to stabilize commodity markets during the holy month of Ramadan, noting that measures were taken following the formation of the government to prevent any syndicates within the state system and to stop artificial price hikes. According to the briefing, these proactive initiatives were specifically designed to keep commodity prices under control for the general public.

Furthermore, the briefing highlighted industrial relations and labor management during major religious festivals. Amin pointed out that following Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Adha, there was no form of labor unrest after a long time, attributing this stability to the government's firm steps in uniting workers, owners, trade associations, and business associations.

Concluding the remarks on labor conditions, Amin emphasized that this collaborative approach successfully ensured that every worker received their overdue wages and bonuses without disruption, reflecting the administration's active intervention in industrial welfare during its first 180 days.
