Pabna Juba Dal Launches Anti-Dengue Campaign and Mosquito Eradication

The Pabna district branch of Juba Dal has officially launched a comprehensive seven-day program aimed at preventing dengue and eradicating mosquitoes across the region. This local initiative aligns with a broader nationwide directive issued by the central executive committee of Jatiyatabadi Juba Dal to combat the rising health threat posed by dengue fever.

The formal inauguration of this intensive week-long campaign took place on the afternoon of September 14. Leaders and activists gathered at the Pabna district BNP office, where they commenced the first day of activities by holding a formal discussion meeting to strategize and raise awareness among members regarding community health and safety.

Following the indoor discussion session, the participants took to the streets to conduct an extensive, awareness-raising rally. The procession was designed to draw public attention to the importance of maintaining clean surroundings and taking proactive measures to prevent the breeding of Aedes mosquitoes within the local neighborhoods.

As part of the day's on-the-ground efforts, organizers executed a thorough cleanliness campaign in targeted areas. Volunteers and party members worked actively to clear out potential mosquito breeding grounds, ensuring that public spaces within the district were properly maintained and cleared of stagnant water and debris.

To directly address the insect population, the program's activities on the first day included the physical application of protective measures. Workers scattered bleaching powder across vulnerable spots and utilized specialized fogger machines to spray mosquito-killing agents, marking a robust start to the organization's week-long public health intervention.
