A 22-year-old mother and her five-year-old daughter have died after consuming poison following a family dispute in Madhabdi. The victim's husband has been arrested by police following a case filed by the mother of the deceased.

A tragic incident has occurred in Madhabdi, Narsingdi, resulting in the deaths of a mother and her young daughter following a severe family dispute. According to verified reports, 22-year-old Urmi and her five-year-old daughter, Mim, tragically died after consuming Harpic, a household cleaning agent, during the domestic altercation on 04 September 2026.

In addition to the tragic deaths of Urmi and young Mim, the family dispute and subsequent poisoning also severely affected another young child. The two-and-a-half-year-old son of the couple, Abir Hossain, also ingested the substance during the incident and is currently undergoing medical treatment at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Following the devastating event, law enforcement authorities from the Madhabdi police station intervened and took swift action regarding the tragedy. The husband of the deceased woman, identified as Milon, was detained by local police in connection with the fatal incident that has left the community in shock.

Legal proceedings have officially commenced in the aftermath of the tragedy. Milon has been formally arrested and shown as arrested under a specific case filed by the mother of the deceased woman, ensuring that the judicial process moves forward to address the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
