Melandaha Govt College Guard Fired Over Felled Mahogany Trees
A night guard at Melandaha Government College in Jamalpur has been dismissed from his job for allegedly cutting down and selling two large mahogany trees. Meanwhile, authorities have also recommended transferring his father, who works as another night guard at the same educational institution.
Authorities at Melandaha Government College in Jamalpur have taken strict disciplinary action following allegations that valuable campus timber was illegally cut down and sold. The incident, which centres on the removal of two large mahogany trees from the college premises, has resulted in the immediate dismissal of a night guard employed at the institution.
The suspended employee has been identified as night guard Mo. Rafiqul Islam. According to the official findings, Islam was directly implicated in the unauthorised felling and subsequent sale of the two major mahogany trees belonging to the Melandaha Government College property in Jamalpur.
In connection with the same illicit incident, administrative measures have also been directed towards another staff member within the same family. The authorities have formally recommended the immediate transfer of Mo. Abdul Malek, who serves as another night guard at the college and is the father of the dismissed employee, to a different location.
The decisive administrative actions were officially confirmed and communicated through a formal office order. This directive was formally issued and signed by Ishtiyak Ahmed, the acting principal of Melandaha Government College, ensuring that the disciplinary measures were implemented across the institution.
The official office order detailing both the dismissal of Mo. Rafiqul Islam and the transfer recommendation for his father, Mo. Abdul Malek, was formally published and released on Tuesday, September 8th, following the conclusion of the college's review into the disappearance of the campus mahogany trees.
