Eight students from Abdulpur Government College in Lalpur, Natore, were initially unable to participate in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) Bangla first-paper examination due to server complications and the fraudulent actions of an office assistant. The affected individuals fell victim to deception during the registration and form-fill-up process, which prevented them from receiving their admit cards and participating in the nationwide examinations alongside their peers under normal schedules.

Following intervention and directives from the education minister, alongside special arrangements made by the educational board, the situation was addressed to protect the academic futures of the candidates. Consequently, these eight students were granted the opportunity to sit for the missed Bangla first-paper examination under special administrative supervision and management.

The examination took place on August 24, 2026, at the designated Rajshahi New Govt Degree College center located in Rajshahi. The execution of this special test required considerable logistical adjustments and coordination by educational authorities to accommodate the victims of the administrative and fraudulent complications that had initially barred them from the examination hall.

Regarding the fraudulent activities, the accused office assistant, Amit Kumar Sarkar, is currently facing active criminal proceedings in court. In addition to the ongoing legal battle in the judicial system, a formal report detailing his actions and recommending disciplinary measures has been officially submitted for departmental action.

The unfolding of these events highlights the significant hurdles faced by examinees due to local administrative irregularities, while also demonstrating the responsive measures taken by the education ministry and the secondary and higher secondary education board to safeguard students' educational journeys under exceptional circumstances.
