Hijra Community Leader Mousumi Murdered in Chattogram
The body of Hijra community leader Mousumi was recovered from a residence in Chattogram's Khulshi area on Saturday. Police sent the body to the Chattogram Medical College morgue for an autopsy.

In an alarming incident that has shaken the local community, the body of a Hijra community leader was recovered from a residence in Chattogram on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as 52-year-old Mohammad Mohsin, popularly known as Mousumi Hijra. The grim discovery was made within the jurisdiction of the Khulshi Police Station, specifically inside the Hijra colony adjacent to the Amtbagan Railway Colony in the port city.
According to the verified reports, law enforcement officials rushed to the scene after receiving information about the death. Upon inspecting the premises, officers observed visible signs of injury around the victim's neck. Furthermore, authorities noted that blood was coming out from the mouth of the deceased, raising serious suspicions regarding the exact circumstances that led to the untimely demise of the community leader.

Police confirmed that the cash which was previously kept inside the residence could not be found. Additionally, the two mobile phones routinely used by Mousumi Hijra were missing from the apartment, pointing towards a potential motive behind the brutal killing.
Following the initial response and documentation of the crime scene by the police, necessary arrangements were made to transport the mortal remains. The body of the Hijra leader was subsequently sent to the morgue at the Chattogram Medical College.
