GST Cluster Universities Plan 2026-27 Admissions and Expansion

Preparations are officially underway for the upcoming academic admissions cycle following a high-level planning meeting held in the capital. The gathering brought together key academic officials to deliberate on the structural framework for the upcoming entrance examinations, ensuring a streamlined process for applicants seeking placement across multiple higher education institutions.

During the session, the main committee for the admission test was officially formed. The establishment of this central leadership body marks a critical step forward in organizing the logistics, scheduling, and administrative protocols required to manage admissions smoothly for thousands of prospective students across the country.

A notable focus of the discussions centered on the potential expansion of the academic network. Currently, the unified system comprises twenty institutions. However, deliberations during the meeting indicated that an additional two to three universities could potentially be integrated into the cluster for the upcoming admissions cycle.

Leadership roles for the newly formed committee have been finalized to guide the expansion and examination process. The Vice-Chancellor of Patuakhali Science and Technology University has been appointed as the convener, while the Vice-Chancellor of Noakhali Science and Technology University will serve as the co-convener.
