Residents and businesses located across several areas of Gazipur, Bangladesh, are facing a scheduled ten-hour power interruption on Saturday, September 12. The temporary suspension of electricity services is being implemented to accommodate necessary and urgent development work taking place within the local power infrastructure.
The announcement regarding the upcoming power suspension was officially confirmed through a formal notification issued on Friday, September 11. The advisory was released to the public by the Kashimpur Zonal Office operating under the authority of the Gazipur Palli Bidyut Samity-1.
According to the details provided in the official press release, the extensive disruption to the electrical supply will last for a continuous duration of ten hours. Authorities have advised the affected communities within Gazipur to prepare for the prolonged outage while the emergency development operations are being carried out.
The utility provider, Gazipur Palli Bidyut Samity-1 through its Kashimpur Zonal Office, has urged residents in the targeted zones to make necessary arrangements during the ten-hour period of no electricity. The emergency development work is slated strictly for Saturday, September 12, as outlined in the Friday notification.
