Farmer killed in Jhenaidah clash over land dispute
A 45-year-old farmer was killed following a land and family dispute in Kotchandpur upazila. Police are conducting operations to arrest the fugitive suspect.

A 45-year-old farmer named Tabibar Hossain was killed on Sunday morning at around 7:00 AM following a dispute over land and family matters. The incident took place in the fields of Mallikpur village, which falls under Dora union in Kotchandpur upazila of Jhenaidah district.
The victim, Tabibar Hossain, was the son of Nabichuddin Mondal and a resident of the same Mallikpur village. According to the confirmed details of the incident, the fatal attack was carried out by his cousin during a confrontation stemming from ongoing disagreements regarding property and family issues.
Following the violent attack, the accused individual fled the scene and remains at large. Law enforcement authorities from the Kotchandpur police station have initiated active operations to track down and apprehend the fugitive suspect responsible for the farmer's death.
Meanwhile, local authorities are proceeding with the necessary administrative steps regarding the victim's remains. Preparations are currently underway to transfer the body of Tabibar Hossain to the morgue at the Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital in order to conduct a formal post-mortem examination.
