E-Toll Tags to Be Installed on All Mayor Hanif Flyover Buses Within 15 Days
Authorities have announced a new initiative to install electronic toll tags on all buses using the Mayor Hanif Flyover within the next 15 days. The decision aims to ease traffic congestion in the capital following a high-level meeting in Dhaka.

A crucial decision has been finalized to install electronic toll tags on all types of buses utilizing the Mayor Hanif Flyover within the next 15 days. This transport management measure has been officially introduced with the primary objective of alleviating severe traffic congestion across the metropolitan area of Dhaka.
The announcement and formal decision were reached during a strategic views-exchange meeting held on Thursday. The gathering took place at the official office of the Dhaka Road Transport Owners Association, which is situated on the prominent Kazi Nazrul Islam Avenue in the capital city.
Several key stakeholders and prominent organizations were in attendance to deliberate on the traffic mitigation strategies. Representatives and officials from the Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police, the Dhaka Road Transport Owners Association, and Orient Group actively participated in the proceedings.
The high-level discussion session was presided over by M. A. Baten, who serves as the President of the Dhaka Road Transport Owners Association. Meanwhile, the formal proceedings of the meeting were conducted and managed by General Secretary Md. Saiful Alam.
With the 15-day timeframe now formally initiated, the relevant authorities and participating organizations are expected to coordinate the implementation of the electronic toll tagging system. This technological upgrade on the Mayor Hanif Flyover is anticipated to streamline toll collection and improve vehicular movement for all public transport buses operating within the designated transport routes.
