The operation, which was carried out throughout the day on Tuesday, focused on maintaining rigorous traffic discipline and holding accountable those who breached road safety laws within the metropolitan area.
Official confirmation regarding the outcomes of Tuesday's extensive crackdown was formally released on Wednesday. The enforcement actions were distributed across multiple jurisdictions handled by the specialized traffic divisions of the DMP, reflecting a coordinated city-wide effort to address persistent traffic management challenges and ensure compliance among motorists and transport operators.
Detailed statistics from the specialized divisions highlight the widespread nature of the enforcement operation across different sectors of Dhaka. The Traffic-Ramna division reported a total of 134 cases filed against violators, while the Traffic-Lalbagh division processed 180 cases. Meanwhile, the Traffic-Motijheel division recorded 342 cases, and the Traffic-Wari division initiated legal proceedings involving 340 cases for various traffic infractions.
Further operational figures from the northern and western sectors of the capital demonstrate significant enforcement activity. The Traffic-Tejgaon division registered 190 cases during the day-long drive, and the Traffic-Mirpur division documented 403 cases. Additionally, the Traffic-Uttra division logged 432 cases, and the Traffic-Gulshan division accounted for 247 cases of traffic law violations.
