Dinajpur Ghoraghat Event Distributes Grants and Bicycles

An official distribution event took place on August 28 at the Ghoraghat Upazila Parishad auditorium in Dinajpur to support disadvantaged communities, meritorious students, and women and children who have faced persecution. The welfare fund initiative provided financial donation checks alongside bicycles for female students attending the venue.

Professor Dr. A. Z. M. Zahid Hossain, representing the Ministry of Social Welfare, was present at the Ghoraghat Upazila Parishad hall room as the chief guest for the Friday program. During the event, he addressed the gathered crowd, focusing on the empowerment of women and the importance of female education within households across the country.

Highlighting the impact of female development, Professor Dr. A. Z. M. Zahid Hossain stated, "If the girls of a family are educated and capable, the financial capacity of that family increases. With that exact goal, we are providing financial cooperation and encouragement to mothers and daughters in various ways. Half of the country's population consists of women. If we can take these women and female students forward, the future of Bangladesh will change in the coming days."

Expanding on his vision for social harmony, the chief guest further remarked during his speech at the Ghoraghat Upazila venue, "We want such a Bangladesh where everyone will be well. Without keeping anger in mind, everyone must build a society together where there will be mutual cooperation. Our goal is to build an inclusive social system irrespective of religion and caste."

The distribution of checks and bicycles marks an ongoing effort by the Ministry of Social Welfare to uplift vulnerable segments of the population in the Dinajpur region. Local administrators, beneficiaries, and community representatives attended the Friday gathering inside the Upazila Parishad hall room to witness the handover of the welfare resources.
