Cultural and Seerah Competitions Conclude in Dhaka

On Friday, the National Museum's main auditorium in Dhaka hosted the prize-distribution ceremony for the Naat-e-Rasul (PBUH) competition, which was organised by Deshiya Sangskritik Sangsad. The event brought together various notable personalities, leaders, and students to celebrate Islamic culture and recognise the artistic talents of the participants.

Simultaneously, Chhatrashibir organised the closing and prize-distribution ceremony for its 'Road to Sirah-2026' competition at the Diploma Engineers Institution in Dhaka on the same day. This specific competition saw an impressive participation of 13,000 students from across the educational sector, highlighting widespread interest in the programmatic events.

During the proceedings, scholarships and monetary prizes were distributed to recognise academic and competitive excellence. Financial awards included amounts of 60,000 taka, 25,000 taka each, 15,000 taka, and 10,000 taka, aimed at supporting the educational endeavours of the participating students and winners.

Addressing the gatherings, Jamaat leader Shafiqur Rahman delivered a notable speech concerning modern cultural trends and societal values. He questioned the prevailing cultural education, stating that individuals should respect those from whom they learn, while pointing to concerning incidents such as college principals being dragged and thrown into ponds.

Shafiqur Rahman further emphasised that such alarming occurrences are the direct result of negative cultural influences. He asserted that in order to properly raise and guide children to become good human beings, society must actively practice and foster healthy, wholesome cultural traditions.

The events were attended by several other prominent figures representing various organisations and institutions, including Motiur Rahman Akond, Abul Asad, Nurul Islam Bulbul, Nurul Islam Saddam, Sibgatullah Sibga, Kamal Uddin Abdullah Jafari, Jainul Abedin, Rafiqul Islam Khan, Shamsul Alam, Khadiza Tuban Shara, Roisul Islam, and Atia Bilkis Tamanna, alongside representatives from Islamic Arabic University and Tamirul Millat Madrasah.
