On Friday, the Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) organized a significant central labor rally and protest demonstration at the busy Purana Paltan intersection in Dhaka. The event was held to observe Labor Interests Protection Day, drawing attention to the pressing economic and social demands of the labor force.

A massive crowd of more than four hundred thousand workers and employees participated in the day's events, highlighting widespread mobilization across the sector. Several prominent labor leaders and organizers were present at the central gathering to address the participants and outline their core demands.

Among the notable figures attending the rally were Abdullah Kafi Ratan, Jolly Talukder, S. A. Rashid, Mahbubul Alam, and Montu Ghosh. These leaders represented various affiliated labor organizations, including the Bangladesh Trade Union Kendra and the Garment Workers Trade Union Kendra, lending broad coalition support to the demonstration.

Ahead of the formal speeches and central assembly, organizers and participants initiated a large protest procession. Setting off directly from the Purana Paltan intersection, the march moved through several key thoroughfares in the heart of the capital city.

The route of the demonstration took the marchers past the National Press Club and Kadam Chattar. Continuing their journey through the city center, the procession wound its way around the Zero Point and Gulistan areas before returning to conclude where it began at Purana Paltan.
