Chittagong police arrest 7 associates of detained extortionist David Imon

Chittagong district police have carried out a series of operations resulting in the arrest of seven alleged associates linked to the imprisoned terrorist and extortionist David Imon. The law enforcement crackdown comes amid ongoing efforts by local authorities to curb criminal activities, extortion syndicates, and gang violence in the region.

The extensive security operation was officially launched on Monday night, September 7, 2026, and continued over a 24-hour period. During this coordinated police sweep across the targeted areas, officers successfully apprehended the seven individuals connected to David Imon's criminal enterprise.
