Ticketing platform Shohoz has introduced e-ticketing for Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation women-only buses. The digital service will operate via POS machines across 14 dedicated buses in Dhaka, Chattogram, and Bogura.

The Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation (BRTC) has officially launched an e-ticketing system for its dedicated women-only bus services. The new digital initiative has been implemented in collaboration with the ticketing platform Shohoz, also known as Shohoz Limited.
According to the confirmed details of the rollout, the e-ticketing service is being introduced to facilitate women passengers traveling on designated public transport routes. The modern digital ticketing system will specifically operate across a total of 14 women-only buses.
The geographical scope of this new transportation service covers three major urban areas in the country. Passengers will be able to utilize the e-ticketing system on the designated buses operating within Dhaka, Chattogram, and Bogura.
To facilitate the digital transactions on board the vehicles, the service utilizes point-of-sale (POS) machines. Conductors and staff will use these POS machines to issue electronic tickets to the women passengers utilizing the BRTC fleet.
The formal inauguration of this passenger service took place at a dedicated event held recently. The launching ceremony was hosted at the Tejgaon BRTC bus depot, marking the official commencement of the digital ticketing operations for the women's buses.
