BNP Marks 48th Anniversary in Faridpur as Shama Obayed Criticizes Long March

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) marked its 48th founding anniversary on Saturday with a series of diverse events held in Nagarkanda, Faridpur. Local leaders and activists organized a colorful rally, alongside dedicated programs including tree-planting initiatives and the release of fish fry into local water bodies to commemorate the party's founding milestone.

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obayed was present at the anniversary proceedings in Nagarkanda. During the event, she engaged with journalists and addressed various current political and national issues, questioning the logistics behind recent opposition activities by asking, "Do the cars run on water, or do they run on oil? If there is no oil in the country, how is the long march taking place with so many cars?"

Transitioning to diplomatic matters during her interaction with reporters, Shama Obayed also outlined key priorities for the government's international engagement. She emphasized that under the foreign policy framework of 'Bangladesh First,' the Prime Minister will present Bangladesh to the global community as a democratic, self-confident, responsible, and promising nation.

In connection with broader international developments, official schedules note that Dr. Khalilur Rahman is set to preside over the upcoming session of the United Nations General Assembly. This diplomatic milestone coincides with the ongoing domestic political activities and governance updates highlighted by state officials across the country.
