BNP Leader Mirza Abbas Returns to Dhaka After Medical Treatment Abroad
BNP leader Mirza Abbas has returned to Bangladesh after spending nearly five months receiving medical treatment in Singapore and Malaysia. He arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport accompanied by his wife, Afroza Abbas.
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) leader Mirza Abbas has officially returned to the country following an extensive period of medical treatment abroad. He arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, concluding an absence that lasted for nearly five months due to health complications and subsequent overseas medical care.
Accompanying the BNP leader on his return flight was his wife, Afroza Abbas. Prior to their arrival at the Dhaka airport, Mirza Abbas departed from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia on Wednesday, September 2nd, at approximately 7:30 PM local time.
The health ordeal of the BNP leader began months prior on March 11th. While partaking in an Iftar gathering, Mirza Abbas suddenly lost consciousness after drinking water. Immediate steps were taken following the incident, and he was promptly rushed to Evercare Hospital for urgent medical evaluation and care.
As his condition deteriorated further, medical professionals made the decision to transfer him abroad for advanced treatment. On March 15th, Mirza Abbas was taken to Singapore for specialized medical intervention. He was subsequently moved to Malaysia as part of his ongoing healthcare regimen before finally being cleared to return home.
Upon his arrival at the airport in Dhaka, enthusiastic BNP supporters gathered to welcome the returning leader. Crowds greeted him with resounding chants, shouting slogans such as 'Welcome and greetings, the arrival of our brother,' 'Red rose greetings,' and 'Brother Abbas, have no fear, we have not abandoned the streets.'
