BNP Leader Joj Mia Expelled Over Child Rape Allegations in Kishoreganj

A local leader of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) in Kuliarchar upazila of Kishoreganj district has been officially expelled from the political organization following serious allegations of child rape. The disciplinary action against the party functionary comes in the wake of an incident that has triggered widespread local concern and immediate administrative as well as political fallout within the region.

The individual subjected to the expulsion is Joj Mia, who previously held the position of general secretary for the BNP's Ward No. 7 committee within Faridpur union of Kuliarchar upazila. The decision to remove him from the party ranks was formally executed through an expulsion order bearing the signature of Mazharul Islam, who serves as the general secretary of the district BNP branch as well as a Member of Parliament.

Following the emergence of the rape allegations against the local BNP leader, legal action was promptly initiated by the family of the victim. The father of the child victim formally lodged a case at the Kuliarchar Police Station, setting the official criminal investigation into motion regarding the grave charges brought against the accused politician.
