Bangladesh XI Class Admission Opens With Revised SSC Results Included
Online applications for eleventh-grade admission across Bangladesh are underway following the inclusion of revised SSC and equivalent results. The application process will run until September 13, with classes scheduled to commence on September 23.
The Ministry of Education has officially confirmed that updated results from recent SSC and equivalent grade reassessments have now been successfully integrated into the central online application portal for eleventh-grade admissions throughout Bangladesh. This crucial update ensures that students who successfully appealed their initial board examination marks can now participate fully in the upcoming higher secondary selection process without administrative disadvantage.
Prospective higher secondary students can now submit their digital applications through the designated online system. According to the official schedule released by the authorities, the online application window will remain active continuously until eight o'clock in the evening on September 13. Applicants are required to select a minimum of five colleges during the application process, while the maximum allowable college choices are capped at ten institutions. A standard application fee of 220 Taka has been established for processing these submissions.
Regarding the institutional admission criteria, the Ministry of Education has stipulated that no formal selection tests or entrance examinations will be conducted for prospective eleventh-grade students. Instead, seat allocations will be determined strictly through a centralized merit-based system alongside established governmental reservation quotas. Specifically, ninety-three percent of available seats will be allocated purely on the basis of academic merit, leaving seven percent reserved for specific quota categories.
Within the seven percent quota allocation, five percent of the total available seats are designated specifically for the sons and daughters of freedom fighters and martyred freedom fighters. The remaining two percent of quota seats are reserved exclusively for the children of officials and employees serving within the Ministry of Education and its subordinate departments and agencies. This comprehensive admission framework applies broadly across educational institutions governed by the relevant boards, including the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board, the Technical Education Board, and the Bangladesh Open University.
Following the conclusion of the application window, the results for students selected in the initial merit list will be officially published on September 17 at eight o'clock in the evening. Successful candidates must complete their admission confirmation procedures by eight o'clock in the evening on September 19. Subsequent institutional admission activities will take place between September 20 and September 22, culminating in the formal commencement of eleventh-grade classes on September 23.
