Bangladesh State Minister Meets Saudi Foreign Minister in Jeddah
Bangladesh State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humayun Kabir met with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud in Jeddah on August 27. During the meeting on the sidelines of the OIC council meeting, Kabir handed over a letter from the Bangladeshi Prime Minister to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

In official diplomatic engagements on August 27, Bangladesh State Minister for Foreign Affairs Humayun Kabir held a significant bilateral meeting with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud. The diplomatic interaction took place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, coinciding with the high-profile gathering of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.
The meeting occurred specifically on the sidelines of the 23rd Extraordinary Session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers. Both dignitaries utilized this international platform to discuss matters of mutual interest between Bangladesh and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, reinforcing diplomatic ties between the two nations.
A central highlight of the encounter was the handover of official correspondence from the highest levels of the Bangladeshi government. During the discussions, State Minister Humayun Kabir formally delivered a letter from the Prime Minister of Bangladesh addressed to Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.
Welcoming the diplomatic outreach, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud emphasized the close bilateral relations shared by the two countries. During the exchange, the Saudi Foreign Minister remarked that Bangladesh is among the prioritized nations for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The high-level talks in Jeddah involved several key institutional stakeholders, drawing participation from the Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the OIC. Other notable officials present during the proceedings included Engineer Waleed bin Abdulkarim El-Khereiji, alongside references to domestic political entities such as the BNP.
